Brunch at Joseph Leonard can be likened to attending your cool stylist friend’s brunch party. You feel slightly jealous as you enter into her tiny but bright West Village apartment filled with all the curious antiques she’s discovered on her travels. You can’t help but notice how she seems to have unintentionally paired them with her weathered exposed brick walls and her mismatched vintage furnishings. You get the idea”¦ Basically, Joseph Leonard has created an atmosphere so warm, cosy and inviting that you you’d be forgiven for mistaking the experience for being at your fabulously stylish friend’s apartment.
The Brunch food here is straightforward and solid. You definitely get the feeling that this is not a fad restaurant; it’ll occupy its prime West Village location for a long time to come.
Best Bit: The rare opportunity to enjoy a light brunch. Order a Bloody Caesar with the Avocado Toast. The Country Fried Bacon is incredible albeit not really keeping in line with the “light brunch” tone 🙂
