Contemporary Art Museum Find: Tate Modern London

After spending twenty years as an abandoned power station, Tate Modern London has been fuelling both celebrated exhibitions of modern and contemporary art as well as the cultural regeneration of South London since opening in 2000.

The modernist landmark in the dynamic borough of Southwark stands proudly on the River Thames. Inside, The Turbine Hall offers one of the most spectacular entrances with its expansive concrete space that reaches incredible cathedral-like proportions.

Three floors display the international collection curated around pivotal movements in twentieth-century art history, which feature paintings, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
