Stepping into the Henrik Vibskov NYC flagship store is like entering a whimsical capsule of the Danish designer’s past and present work. The store immerses you in an artistic performance, which tells a story through its micro-installations, eclectic range of clothes and carefully selected wares.

Set against white walls and blonde Danish furniture, the wave of pencils that swell around the space are snapshots of some of Vibskov’s installations which form part of his exhibition, Fabricate, currently showing at the Daelim Museum in Seoul.

The designer’s avant-garde clothing featured in the store is an extension of the artistic story and adds another dimension to the experience with their bold colours, unusual silhouettes and inventive cuts. Other designers represented include Rick Owens X Adidas, Cote & Ciel and Stine Goya along with perfectly complementary selections of jewellery from the likes of Juliba.  A nod towards the Nordics, you can also pick up a selection of Happy Socks, a Playtype mug and even a packet of the region’s well-loved liquorice.
