NYC Food Find: Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream

Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream NYC opened this summer and already it’s doing a good job of pulling at New Yorker’s nostalgia strings in a fresh new way. The ice cream parlor’s surroundings are clearly rooted in classic American style but the creative and oftentimes-experimental flavors certainly aren’t. Think Vietnamese coffee, durian banana, raspberry Aperol and of course salted caramel pretzel (it wouldn’t be a new American ice cream parlor without something of the salted caramel variety!)

If you’re looking to avoid a queue, post lunchtime is the safest time to visit. Although, there is something to be said about lining up for ice cream while the Lower East Side is buzzing on a balmy summer’s eve.

Best Bit: Morgenstern’s ice cream is made with less sugar and eggs, which makes for a delightfully light creamy texture that allows for flavor to shine through.
