Yu-U is a modern Japanese restaurant that makes you feel like you’ve entered an exclusive members club in downtown Kyoto. But sit down in the low-key, minimalist surroundings and you will soon realize that this is simply a relaxed izakaya with plenty of style and substance.

Yu-U is notoriously publicity-shy so you won’t find so much as a website, let alone a social media page anywhere on the Internet but they do appreciate a phone call (at least their number is listed) ahead of time.
