L’ENTREPOT, HACKNEY

What goes together better than food and wine? Nothing right? So to me, it makes complete sense for an independent wine merchant like Borough Wines, known in London for their excellently edited wine selection, to open an adjoining rustic French eatery. It also leaves me questioning why more boutique wine sellers aren’t doing the same thing?

This unassuming restaurant situated next door to a Tesco Express, could be mistaken for a great neighbourhood wine shop but as you walk in to peruse the selection, you’ll notice a whole restaurant back there!

L’Entrepot serves up an ever-changing simple French menu with the exception of one menu item that is rightfully there to stay ”“ their perfectly seasoned, silkily textured steak tartare.

Best Bit: The stripped down, white washed warehouse interiors make this hotspot a casually cool Hackney neighbourhood restaurant where you get to take home a bottle of that expertly paired wine you quaffed over dinner.
